Bobby started his career at St Johnstone but failed to make it into the first team. After a loan spell at Albion Rovers, he signed for them permanently after being released by St Johnstone. He signed for Livingston in 2010 and spent three years in West Lothian.
He also had spells with East Fife, Brechin City, Morton and Raith Rovers before signing for Dumbarton in June 2018.
