Experienced defender Darren Barr, who was at Ross County for season 2014-15 and made six appearances, signed in the summer of 2015.

Best known for his six years at Falkirk from 2004-10 where he made 146 appearances and scored five goals, he also made 60 starts for Hearts over three seasons from 2010-13 and scored one goal.

In the 2012 Scottish Cup final, Darren started the match in central midfield and scored the opening goal in a 51 win over capital rivals Hibs.

He has also played for Forfar Athletic on loan and Kilmarnock.

He earned his first international cap for Scotland in a 00 friendly draw against Northern Ireland at Hampden Park in 2008.

He had already featured in a Scotland B Squad, playing in a 22 draw with Finland in February 2007.

After two successful seasons as Dumbarton captain, Darren left the club to take up a coaching role with Morton in June 2017.
